Auburn School Board to Honor Lake View Elementary Fifth Grader as Student of the Month

The Auburn School District Board of Directors will recognize Abbie Marsh, a fifth grade student at Lake View Elementary School, for being an outstanding student on Monday, December 12, at 7 p.m. in the board room at the James P. Fugate Administration Building.

Abbie Marsh is a stand-out student who models dedication and hard work for her classmates. She is dependable, hard working and always well behaved. Abbie also is noted for her love of reading. In fact, she is a great person to ask what book to read because she knows about most popular children’s titles.

Abbie sings in the Lake View choir and plays clarinet in band. Outside of school, Abbie and her family show Irish Setters. Abbie has three Irish setters. Currently she shows Ethan—aka “Alliance’s Special Edition”—who is a 20-month-old Irish setter from Mexico. Abbie loves her dogs. 

Abbie’s teachers unanimously selected her for this honor because she is a “great kid” who tries hard every day. Abbie has faced some personal and family challenges that have been difficult. And like most kids, she is not perfect. Yet everyone who works with Abbie agrees that she is a perfect choice to represent Lake View because of her fantastic attitude and character. She is a great example of a Lake View Cardinal who “Flies with Pride.”
